Biography

Dejan Jović is Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Zagreb. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics, and was Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute and Lecturer in Politics at the University of Stirling (Scotland, UK). He is currently also Visiting Professor at the University of Belgrade and Editor-in-Chief of the Croatian Political Science Review. In 2004-2006 he was Special Adviser to Croatian Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and from 2010-2014 Chief Political Analyst to the President of Croatia, Ivo Josipović. Professor Jović is a specialist in Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav politics, the Balkans and Europe, as well as foreign policies and theories of international relations. He is the author of “Yugoslavia: A State that Withered Away” (2009).
