Biography

Prof. Dr Tanja Miščević has been the Head of the Negotiating Team for the Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the EU, since September 2013, as well as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. From 2005 to 2009 she was the Director of the European Integration Office of the Government of Serbia, a member of the Negotiating team for SAA negotiations, and the Head of the Negotiating Team for the Readmission and Visa Facilitation Agreement between Serbia and the EU. During 2011 and 2012, Ms. Miščević served first as Advisor to the Minister of Defence, then as State Secretary for Defence Policy at the Ministry of Defence of Serbia. From 2009 to 2010 she was a member and Vice President of the Board of the Anticorruption Agency, she also served as a Special Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister responsible for foreign trade in the Serbian Government. Ms. Miščević has also taught as a Visiting Professor, at the Military Academy of the Ministry of Defence, the Centre for European Integrations of the University of Bonn, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia and the Faculties of Law and Economics of the University of Montenegro. From 2004 to 2012, she was Head of the International Organizations course at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia. Ms. Miščević is also Vice President of the European Movement in Serbia.
