Serbian Chief Negotiator with EU

Biography

Tanja Miščević is Serbian Chief EU Negotiator. She is also a former State Secretary of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Defence and is a Vice President of the European Movement of Serbia. From 2009 to 2010, she was a member and a vice president of the board of the Anticorruption Agency. From 2005 to 2008, she served as Director of the Government of Serbia’s European Integration Office, was a member of the negotiation team for the SAA negotiations, and was also head of the negotiation team for the Readmission and Visa Facilitation Agreement between Serbia and the EU. Between 2003 and 2004, Ms. Miščević was coordinator for Serbia and Montenegro’s training for administrators on EU issues. Dr. Miščević is also a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. She teaches courses on International Organizations, the UN System, EU Accession Policy, the History of European Integration, as well as a course on the Common Foreign and Security Policy at the Faculty of Political Science in Podgorica, Montenegro. Ms. Miščević has lectured as a visiting professor at the University of Bonn, the Centre for European Integration, the Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Croatia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro in Podgorica. She is also head of the International Organizations course at the Diplomatic Academy of the Republic of Serbia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
