Biography

Julia Himmrich is a doctoral candidate at the International Relations Department of the London School of Economics and a Research Associate at the Dahrendorf Forum. Her doctoral research focuses on the role of Germany in the status negotiations of Kosovo. Her wider research interest lies in conflict, migration and European foreign policy. Julia holds a BA (Hons) in Politics & Development Studies from SOAS, University of London and a MA in International Peace & Security from King’s College London. Before joining the LSE, she worked for the German development agency GIZ in Sri Lanka, at the European Parliament and for London based Human Rights NGOs.
