Irena Vojáčková-Sollorano
Biography
Irena Vojáčková-Sollorano joint in this capacity the UN Development Coordination Office on 1. August 2019 while serving as UN Resident Coordinator to the Republic of Turkey. Prior to this assignment she was UNRC/UNDP RR to the Republic of Turkey (2016-2018) and the UN RC/UNDP RR to the Republic of Serbia (2013-2016). Prior to her appointments with the UN, she has served in different capacities for 28 years in IOM as Director of the Department for Migration Management in IOM Headquarters in Geneva, Regional Director for Southeast Asia in Bangkok and Regional Director for Central Europe in Vienna. She has gained global expertise in migration management, migration and development and refugee issues as well as in emergency response and change management. She holds a Diploma/Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines; Diploma/Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria; Master’s in History, Geography, and International Law/University Vienna, Austria and a bachelor’s in History and Political Science/University Heidelberg, Germany.
