Ida Orzechowska is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wroclaw, Poland, obtaining a degree in political science and sociology. Her main research interests relate to international security, the Western Balkans and conflict studies. She is currently a visiting fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Balkans, Goldsmiths, University of London, developing her dissertation on the correlation between power relation and stability in the Western Balkan region. Professionally related to the Balkans for several years already, as an independent scholar she regularly publishes analyses of the security dynamics in the region, i.e. in the quarterly news journal New Eastern Europe.
