Biography

H.E. Milan Simurdić is a Serbian political scientist and diplomat, currently serving as the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Norway. From 2001 – 2005 he served as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (and then Serbia and Montenegro) to Croatia. From the end of 2008 he is Vice-President of the European Movement in Serbia and President of its International Relations Forum. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade and worked subsequently on the Committee for International Cooperation in the Vojvodina Executive Council, followed by a stint in the Federal Secretariat for Foreign Affairs. From 1988 to 1993, he served in the position of First Secretary of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in Budapest, Hungary. He specializes in energy security.
