Biography

Zoran Stanojević started his journalistic career when he was 16 drawing comics for a youth magazine. Since 2007 he is employed at the Radio Television of Serbia as the editor of the “Oko” broadcast and the assistant of the editor-in-chief for new media. From 1992 to 2002 he worked as a stringer for the NBC News, American TV network and for the MSNBC.com from 1996 to 2002 covering the former Yugoslavia. In 1994 he was working for Vreme, the prominent Serbian newsmagazine, as an editor of English language edition, reporter and later feature editor. Since 2000 he writes a regular column in Vreme focusing on the Internet and new media. In 2002 Mr. Stanojević joined BBC World Service as a reporter and producer within Serbian Section. In 2006 he assumed his current position at the Radio Television of Serbia as an editor and presenter of OKO TV magazine and debate show which is one of the highest ranking news shows on Serbian TV. He was awarded as the Editor of the Year for 2009 by Serbian Journalist Association UNS.
