Biography

Vladimir Trapara was born in Sarajevo in 1982, and now lives in Belgrade. In 2006, he graduated at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Belgrade, as the best student in his generation. He earned his master’s degree at the same faculty in 2009 where he is currently a PhD student of International and European Studies, at the same time working as a research associate at the Institute of International Politics and Economics. Since his youth, he has shown interest in international politics and matters of war and peace. At the moment, his main fields of academic interest are: relations between great powers (especially USA and Russia) in the domain of global security, role of nuclear weapons in international politics, position and role of Serbia and its neighbours in regional and global security, structural theories of international relations, diplomatic history of Serbia. Besides his professional career, he is into several hobbies, most important of which are music, films, mountain climbing and cycling.
