Biography

Tatjana Macura, MP in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia

She has been a Member of Parliament (MP)  in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia since June 2016, and the current mandate is her first time in the parliament. She is also currently the president of the parliamentary group “Movement of the Center”.

She is an entrepreneur in the field of telecommunications since 2007.

In the parliament she is a Member of Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality, Committee on Children’s Rights, Culture and Information Committee and a Deputy Member of Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction.

She has worked on several legislative acts, including the Law on Family Violence Prevention and Law on the Financial Aid to Families with Children, but also she has done investigative work on the presence of so called ‘fake donations’ to political parties during the last presidential elections.

In addition, she has currently managing the development on an e-democracy platform that will enable higher citizen participation in the decision-making processes in all spheres of the political life in Serbia. Lately, she has been advocating for the right of mothers who are on maternity leave, and have helped organize the initiative called “Moms Rule!” ( Mame su Zakon!).

Lastly, she is planning to work on the amendments of the following legislation: Criminal Code, Law on Family Violence Prevention, Family Law, Law on Entrepreneurship, Law on the Transplantation of Cells and Tissues and Law of Origin of Property.
