Biography

Dr. Nikolaos Tzifakis (PhD, Lancaster University) is Assistant Professor of International Relations at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of the Peloponnese (Greece), a Research Associate with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies and member of the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG). His research focuses on International Relations theory, EU external policies, and Balkan politics. His publications include articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Conflict, Security & Development, Ethnopolitics, the European Foreign Affairs Review, Global Society, the Journal of Southern Europe and the Balkans and others. He is the editor of the book, International Politics in Times of Change (Springer, 2012) and co-editor (with Pantelis Sklias) of Greece’s Horizons (Springer, 2013). In 2008, he was awarded the Marcel Cadieux Distinguished Writing Award for his co-authored article with Asteris Huliaras, published in International Journal.
