Biography

Marko Kovačević is a Ph.D Candidate and Research Associate at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, and Managing Editor of the Journal of Regional Security. In his doctoral research, Marko focuses on identity and the foreign and security policies of small states. His research interests fit between theories of International Relations, Security Studies, and foreign policy analysis – with the focus on comparative regionalisms, statebuilding and various forms of state agency and practices within the United Nations system. He is a member of the International Studies Association and British International Studies Association, and has published several papers on statebuilding, regional security, Europeanisation and foreign policy of post-Yugoslav states. Marko was awarded OSCE scholarship for postgraduate studies at University of Belgrade, as well as OSI Undergraduate Exchange Program Scholarship to study at Bard College, USA (2005-2006).
