Biography

Maja Ružić is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. She obtained her Master’s degree at the Central European University, department of International Relations and European Studies. After graduating she was granted a research fellowship at the Research Centre of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association where she conducted research on topics of foreign policy, conflict resolution and the future prospects of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides post-war state building and conflict resolution, her fields of interest are strategic and critical security studies, specifically emphasizing the Copenhagen School of security studies. At the 2013 Belgrade Security Forum she participated in the Academic Panel, where she, together with Jelena Cupać, presented their research paper titled, “Logic of Practicality: (Un)Changing Nature of the EU Diplomatic Practices”.
