Biography

Miroslav Tadić is a portfolio manager for climate change at the UNDP country office in Serbia. He is managing portfolio of projects in the field of climate change, disaster risk reduction and environment. Miroslav’s portfolio of work provides support to governmental institutions in preparation of national policy and regulatory framework, as well as in achieving compliance with international agreements and processes, such as UNFCCC, Paris Climate Agreement, Sendai Framework for Action, Chemicals and Waste etc. Also, Miroslav is implementing practical projects, working on new innovative solutions for combating climate change at local level, piloting new approaches and modalities of work with variety of stakeholders and partners. As a former employee of the Ministry of Environment, he was responsible for coordination of EU accession process and international cooperation in the field of environment, as well as for development of environmental programs, projects and strategies. Through his career, he has been developing and conducting actions that support further integration of environmental and climate change concerns into other sectorial policies such as energy, agriculture, water management, forestry, disaster risk reduction, among others. Miroslav holds a degree in Environmental Biology and has completed a number of specializations in sustainable development, climate change and resilience.
