Hakan Altinay

Hakan Altinay is the Director of the European School of Politics in Istanbul. He was a non-resident Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution, a Global Ethics Fellow at Carnegie Council, and a World Fellow at Yale. His book, Global Civics: Responsibilities and Rights in and Independent World (Brookings, 2011) has been translated into Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish and was made into a documentary with viewership extending across 110 countries. He is president of the Global Civics Academy and his writing has appeared in the Financial Times and New York Times as well as with openDemocracy, Project Syndicate, and Social Europe.
