Biography

Gordan Bosanac was born in 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia.  After graduating at the Faculty of Physics – University of Zagreb he also completed a non-formal Peace Studies program organized by the Center for Peace Studies.  In 2004, he obtained an MA degree in Human Rights at the University School of London, School of Public Policy. Since 1998 he has been involved in many citizens initiatives related to security, human rights, combating discrimination, LGBT rights, migration policies etc. From 2005 to 2011 he was appointed Program Director of Center for Peace Studies (CPS).  Since 2012 he has worked as Chief Policy Analyst in CPS on topics related to the oversight and reform of the security sector, international development cooperation, human security and public human rights policies. He teaches a course in Human Security at the Peace Studies program in Zagreb. Mr Bosanac has published many articles related to human rights and peace building and has worked across the Balkan region with other civil society organizations.
