Danijela Božanić is MSc in Meteorology, with 20 years of experience in climate and climate change. For more than 10 years Head of Climate Change Unit in the Ministry in charge for the environment and climate change. More than 10 years of experience working in adaptation and mitigation related planning, policy development, collection of activity data and the GHG inventory preparation. Experienced in preparation of the national reports to the UNFCCC (national communications, BURs) and legislation and policies, including strategic and planning in compliance with the EU acquis. Expert in Serbia and in Montenegro for preparation of the Law on climate change (transposing MMR; ETS, ESD, CO2 labelling). The UNFCCC and the GEF Operational Focal point. Lead national UNFCCC negotiator in the period 2005 – 2017. Involved in preparation of a negotiation position for the Chapter 27 as well as in negotiation under the Energy Community Treaty. Proven experience in development and implementation of the IPA and projects financed by the GEF and GCF. Experience in organizing and delivery of training, seminars and workshops. Extensive experience in coordination of project teams and experts, including coordination and preparation of projects inception, interim narrative and financial reports to PSC and EU contracting authorities. Worked with different stakeholders such as: governmental institutions, CSOs, local authorities, business, science community. Experience in working with different international and EU organizations and institutions.
